Mack TE Recall 19V895: Headlights May Be Misaimed, Reducing Driver Visibility

NHTSA campaign 19V895, reported December 16, 2019, 1,879 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some trucks have headlights that may not be properly aimed. Poorly aimed headlamps can reduce how well the driver can see the road ahead at night or in poor conditions, which can increase the risk of a crash. The vehicles also do not meet the federal lighting standard that governs headlamps.

The fix is free. Dealers will inspect the headlamps and readjust their aim at no cost to you. The manufacturer will also notify affected owners directly. If you have questions, you can contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177 and reference recall number SC0421.

You can check whether your vehicle has any open recalls by entering your VIN on the NHTSA recall lookup site or by asking an authorized dealer. If your truck is affected, schedule the headlamp inspection with an authorized Mack dealer as soon as possible.
