Spartan Gladiator Recall 19V828: Air Line Could Leak and Apply Brakes Unexpectedly

What this recall means for you

On certain Spartan Gladiator and Metrostar emergency response vehicles from model years 2005 to 2008, the air pressure control lines for the pneumatically controlled automatic tire chain system may not be pressure-protected. If a control line is severed, air can suddenly be lost from the service reservoir system, causing the brakes to apply unexpectedly and increasing the risk of a crash.

Marion Body Works will notify owners. Dealers will inspect how the control lines are routed and, where necessary, reroute them into the auxiliary air reservoir. The repair is free of charge.
