Airstream Atlas Recall 19V734: Wiring May Lack Fire Protection, Risking Overheating

NHTSA campaign 19V734, reported October 16, 2019, 151 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2019 and 2020 Airstream Atlas motorhomes, the SH1 breaker terminal may be wired incorrectly. As a result, some 12-volt circuits may not have adequate overcurrent protection, meaning the wires are not properly fused.

If the wiring is incorrectly protected, the affected wires may overheat, which increases the risk of a fire. Owners should take this recall seriously and not ignore it.

Airstream will notify affected owners, and dealers will correct the wiring as necessary at no cost to you. The recall began November 15, 2019. You can contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111, extension 7401 or 7411. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
