What this recall means for you
The owner's guide for certain 2019 CR-V vehicles incorrectly describes when the "Passenger Airbag Off" indicator should illuminate. As a result, the manual does not accurately explain how the passenger airbag works, and the vehicles do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208 for occupant crash protection.
If the front passenger does not correctly understand how the airbag functions, they may face a higher risk of injury in a crash. Honda will mail owners a sticker with the corrected information to place in the owner's guide, at no cost.
To get the sticker, contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 and reference recall X6G. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is affected.
