Jayco Travel Trailer JAY Feather Recall 19V691: Emergency Window Handles May Not Open Fully

NHTSA campaign 19V691, reported October 1, 2019, 97 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2019 and 2020 Jayco Jay Feather travel trailers may have emergency exit window handles that do not allow the windows to open far enough to be used as an escape route. The problem is that if occupants cannot get out through the egress window during an emergency, the risk of injury increases.

If you own an affected trailer, Jayco will notify you directly, and an authorized dealer will replace the emergency window handles at no cost to you. You can also contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137 and reference Jayco recall number 9901441. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your trailer is included.
