Keystone Cougar Recall 19V650: Emergency Window Lacks Exit Handle and Label

NHTSA campaign 19V650, reported September 11, 2019, 18 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2020 Keystone Cougar 30RKD trailers have 60-inch by 29-inch emergency exit windows over the dinette table that are missing a red handle and an "EXIT" label. Without these markings, occupants may not realize the window is an emergency exit, which could slow escape in an emergency and increase the risk of injury.

If you own one of these trailers, Keystone RV Company will notify you, and an authorized dealer will replace the existing black exit handles with red handles and add an "EXIT" label at no cost to you. You can contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369 and reference recall number 19-360.

Regardless of whether you have received a notice, check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls so you know whether this or any other repair is outstanding.
