Look Cargo Trailer Recall 19V619: Trailer Axle Bracket May Fail, Risking Crash

NHTSA campaign 19V619, reported August 22, 2019, 170 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain cargo trailers have an axle hanger bracket that may fail, which can allow the axle to shift out of position. This affects how stable the trailer is while being towed.

A bracket failure could make the trailer harder to control and raises the risk of a crash. Owners should stop and inspect the trailer if they notice unusual handling, noise, or shifting around the axle, and avoid towing it until the issue is checked.

LGS Industries will notify owners, and authorized dealers will weld reinforcing gussets on both ends of the hanger bracket where needed, at no cost to you. To check for this or any other open recall on your trailer, use your VIN, or contact LGS customer service at 1-877-475-5665.
