Horton Type I Recall 19V608: Airbag Cushions May Detach and Fail to Inflate in a Crash

NHTSA campaign 19V608, reported August 19, 2019, 80 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Horton Type I and Type III emergency vehicles from model years 2018 through 2020 have airbag cushions that were improperly manufactured. The cushion of the inflatable head cushion and the knee airbag may detach during deployment and fail to inflate.

If the cushions do not inflate properly in a crash, they may not provide the intended protection to the occupant, which increases the risk of injury. Owners should not wait for the replacement parts to be scheduled. Contact Halcore customer service at 1-800-447-0343 for more information, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.

Halcore will notify owners, and dealers will install replacement airbags once they become available. The repair is free of charge at an authorized dealer.
