Tiffin Allegro Open Road Recall 19V595: Rear Hose Can Rub Tire, Risking Sudden Deflation

NHTSA campaign 19V595, reported August 13, 2019, 20 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A hydraulic suspension hose on certain motorhomes with Liquid Spring suspension may be routed incorrectly, allowing it to contact the inside rear tire. Repeated rubbing can cause the tire to suddenly deflate, which increases the risk of a crash.

If you own a 2019 or 2020 Tiffin Allegro Open Road, have an authorized dealer inspect the position of the hydraulic hoses. If the hose is routed incorrectly, the dealer will correct the clamp position and inspect the hoses and tires for damage, replacing any damaged parts as needed. The repair is free of charge. You can also contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661 (recall number TIF-112) and check your VIN for open recalls.
