NHTSA campaign 19V562, reported July 31, 2019, 174 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2019 Pierce vehicles have a passenger-side knee airbag that may not inflate properly during a crash deployment. The problem comes from improper manufacturing of the airbag.

If the knee airbag does not inflate correctly in a crash, it may not provide the intended protection for the front-seat passenger, which increases the risk of injury.

Pierce will notify affected owners, and authorized dealers will replace the knee airbag assembly at no cost. The recall began October 9, 2019. You can contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723, and you should check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
