Gulf Stream Serro Scotty Recall 19V560: Incorrect weight label could lead to overloading and crashes

NHTSA campaign 19V560, reported July 30, 2019, 13 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The federal certification label on certain 2017 travel trailers lists an incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Owners who rely on this label may load the trailer beyond its true limit, which can stress the tires and affect how the towing vehicle handles.

Overloading increases the risk of a crash. Owners should not rely on the current label for weight limits until it has been replaced.

Gulf Stream will notify owners, and authorized dealers will replace the Federal Placard label free of charge. Owners can contact Gulf Stream customer service at 1-800-289-8787, referencing recall number GS072619. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
