Cummins Power Generation Generator SET Recall 19V552: Jack Handle Can Separate and Become a Road Hazard

NHTSA campaign 19V552, reported July 25, 2019, 120 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2019 Cummins generator trailers equipped with Towking 12k jacks may have had the jack handle improperly fastened. The handle can separate from the jack assembly, and the jack itself can then come loose and become a road hazard.

If the jack separates from its assembly while the trailer is on the road, it can strike or fall into the path of other vehicles, which increases the risk of a crash.

MMDi, Inc. will provide a nylon locking nut to replace the standard nut, along with specific instructions for installing it, at no cost to you. Contact MMDi customer service at 1-704-822-4550 to arrange the free fix. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
