Ford E-350 Recall 19V466: Backup Camera May Show Reversed Image, Risking Crash

NHTSA campaign 19V466, reported June 18, 2019, 52 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2017-2018 Ford E-350 and E-450 shuttle buses equipped with ASA Electronics Voyager monitors may have a backup camera display that reverts to factory default settings. When this happens, the camera image is reversed, so what appears on the screen on the left side is actually on the right side of the vehicle, and vice versa.

This matters because a driver may turn the wrong direction to avoid an object behind the vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash.

SVO Group will work with ASA Electronics to notify owners. ASA will provide a harness relay capacitor module that eliminates the image reversal, free of charge. Owners can contact ASA Electronics customer service at 1-800-384-4400. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
