Altec AD108 Recall 19V465: Brake Line Fittings May Leak, Risking Crash

NHTSA campaign 19V465, reported June 17, 2019, 328 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some of these utility vehicles may have brake line air fittings that are not DOT-compliant. These fittings can leak at the air connections, which means the vehicle does not meet federal brake hose safety requirements (FMVSS 106).

If the brake lines leak, the parking brake may drag while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners should stop using the vehicle if they notice brake problems and contact the manufacturer promptly.

The repair is free. Altec will notify owners, and authorized dealers will inspect the vehicle and replace the brake line air fittings if necessary. Contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832 (Altec recall number CSN 723). You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
