Roadtrek CS Adventurous Recall 19V450: Second-row seats may not protect occupants in a crash

NHTSA campaign 19V450, reported June 13, 2019, 1,701 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The second-row captain's chairs in these motorhomes may not be securely anchored to the vehicle frame. The seat pedestal brackets may not be strong enough to keep the seat and its seat belt from moving during a crash, so the seats may not provide adequate protection and passengers in them face a higher risk of injury.

The remedy is to have an authorized dealer remove the seat belt(s) in the affected second-row seats and install a label stating that the seat is not to be occupied while the vehicle is in motion. The repair is free of charge. Owners can also contact Erwin Hymer customer service at 1-844-464-3735 (recall number 2019-01).

Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your motorhome is included and to see whether any other recall work is pending.
