Ford F-750 Recall 19V429: Backup Camera Image May Reverse, Risking a Crash

NHTSA campaign 19V429, reported June 7, 2019, 206 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2017-2018 trucks equipped with ASA Electronics Voyager monitors used to display the back-up camera, the monitor may revert to its factory default settings. When this happens, the camera image can appear reversed on the screen.

A reversed image can lead a driver to turn the wrong way to avoid an object behind the vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash. The remedy is free: Mickey Truck Bodies, working with ASA Electronics, will notify owners and provide a fix that keeps the image from reversing. You can contact ASA Electronics customer service at 1-800-384-4400 or Mickey Truck Bodies at 1-336-882-6806. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your truck is included.
