Toyota Sienna Recall 19V410: Brake fittings may leak pressure, reducing rear braking

NHTSA campaign 19V410, reported June 4, 2019, 705 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2014-2019 Toyota Sienna mobility van conversions may have incorrect tube nut fittings on the brake lines. This can cause a drop in pressure within the braking system, which may lead to a loss of braking power in the rear brakes.

Reduced rear braking power increases the risk of a crash. If you own one of these vans, contact Braun Corporation customer service at 1-800-488-0359 to confirm whether your vehicle is affected. You can also check your VIN for open recalls on the NHTSA website.

The remedy is free: an authorized dealer will install an adaptor to correct the fitting issue. The recall began June 25, 2019.
