Trail King Tilt Trailer (Tkt) Recall 19V361: Trailer brakes may not fully apply, raising crash risk

NHTSA campaign 19V361, reported May 13, 2019, 43 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain trailers have a missing air control line to the front anti-lock braking system (ABS) electronic control unit. Without all of the air control lines installed, the trailer's service brakes may not apply on one or two of its three axles.

When brakes do not engage on every axle, the trailer cannot stop as effectively as designed, which increases the risk of a crash.

Owners should contact Trail King customer service at 1-800-843-3324 (recall number TK201902). Trail King will notify owners and will add the missing front control line free of charge. You can also check your trailer's VIN for open recalls.
