Coachmen Beyond Recall 19V336: Wiring May Overheat and Cause a Fire in Air Conditioner Circuit

NHTSA campaign 19V336, reported April 30, 2019, 100 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The wiring that powers the ProAir air conditioning system may be undersized for the electrical load it carries. The circuit is also not protected by a fuse or circuit breaker.

Because the undersized wiring is not protected, it may overload and melt, which increases the risk of a fire in the motorhome.

Authorized dealers will replace the wiring and install a circuit breaker at no cost to you. You can contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8590 and reference recall number 225-1003. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
