What this recall means for you
The entry steps on the living quarters of certain horse trailers may break when someone steps onto them. The steps can have poor welds and missing rivets, which can cause them to fail during use.
If a step breaks while in use, the person using it can fall and be injured. Avoid relying on the living quarter entry steps until the trailer has been inspected and repaired.
The repair is free at an authorized dealer, where the welds will be corrected and rivets installed as needed. Owners can also contact SMC Trailers at 1-574-966-5598 for more information. You can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
