Dynamax Isata Recall 19V294: Brake hoses may corrode and leak fluid, risking brake loss

NHTSA campaign 19V294, reported April 12, 2019, 14 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain brake hoses between the brake master cylinder and the hydraulic control unit may have been made without anti-corrosion plating on their metal ferrules. Over time, these ferrules can corrode, which may allow brake fluid to leak and cause a loss of braking.

Loss of braking increases the risk of a crash. Owners should take this recall seriously and schedule the inspection promptly.

Forest River will notify owners, and authorized dealers will inspect the brake hoses and replace them if necessary, at no cost to you. Contact FCA US customer service at 1-800-853-1403 or Forest River at 1-574-262-3474 (Forest River recall number 55-0992), and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
