Entegra Esteem Recall 19V175: Parking brake cable may disconnect, letting motorhome roll

NHTSA campaign 19V175, reported March 5, 2019, 23 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The parking brake cable ends on certain motorhomes may be too small, so the cable can disconnect. When that happens, the emergency brake does not engage, and the vehicle may move unintentionally, especially when parked on an incline. This raises the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the parking brake cable free of charge. If you own an affected vehicle, you can contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-517-9137. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your motorhome is included.
