Jayco Fifth Wheel Pinnacle Recall 19V173: Wrong fuse in awning circuit can cause fire

NHTSA campaign 19V173, reported March 5, 2019, 1,660 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The awning circuit on certain fifth wheel trailers has a 15-amp fuse where a 5-amp fuse should be installed. The incorrect fuse does not protect the circuit at the correct level.

If a short circuit occurs in the awning circuit, the oversized fuse may fail to cut power quickly, which can increase the risk of a fire.

An authorized dealer will replace the 15-amp fuse with a 5-amp fuse at no cost to you. You can contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137, and you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
