Triple E Serenity Recall 19V147: Wiring error can leave 120V outlets without shock protection

NHTSA campaign 19V147, reported February 28, 2019, 3 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A wiring connector in certain 2019 Serenity S24CB motorhomes may prevent the 120V electrical outlets from being properly ground-fault protected. If the inverter's ground fails, the person using an outlet could become the path for electricity, raising the risk of injury.

All affected motorhomes are still in dealer inventory, so the recall is being handled before these vehicles reach owners. Triple E dealers will replace the two-pin connector with a three-pin connector for the ground wires at no charge.

If you are considering one of these motorhomes, ask the dealer whether this recall has been completed. You can contact Triple E customer service at 1-877-992-9906, referencing recall number CA#9280-1. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
