Lincoln Continental Recall 19V077: Door Latch May Not Fully Engage, Risking Door Opening

NHTSA campaign 19V077, reported February 11, 2019, 27,609 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2017-2019 Lincoln Continental vehicles have door latch pawl motors that may not work properly. If this happens, a door latch may not fully engage, leaving the door unsecured.

A door that is not fully latched may open while the vehicle is being driven, which increases the risk of injury. Owners should check whether their vehicle is affected and take the recall seriously.

Ford will notify affected owners, and authorized dealers will replace the latch assemblies on all four doors at no cost. Owners can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall number 19S03), and can check their VIN for open recalls.
