What this recall means for you
Certain 2017-2019 Honda Ridgeline trucks may have a fuel pump feed port that can crack after exposure to acids, such as those found in some car wash soaps. A cracked feed port can allow pressurized fuel to leak out.
Fuel leaking under pressure increases the risk of a fire. If you own one of the affected trucks, avoid exposing the fuel pump area to car wash soaps and other acidic cleaners, and contact an authorized Honda dealer or Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 about the recall. Honda will notify owners, and the remedy is free of charge.
At an authorized dealer, the fuel pump will be replaced if necessary and a fuel pump cover will be installed at no cost to you. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your truck is affected.
