Arcimoto FUV Recall 18V942: Rear lights may lack side reflectors, raising crash risk

NHTSA campaign 18V942, reported December 31, 2018, 23 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The combined brake light, tail light, and turn signal assembly on these vehicles does not include a reflex reflector on the side-facing surfaces. This means the rear lighting does not meet federal lighting requirements, and the vehicle may be less visible from the side, which can increase the risk of a crash.

The manufacturer will add a reflex reflector to each side of the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The vehicles are within the manufacturer's control, and owners have been notified. To arrange the repair, contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.

You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is affected.
