Arcimoto FUV Recall 18V941: Front turn signals may be hard to see, raising crash risk

NHTSA campaign 18V941, reported December 31, 2018, 23 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2017 and 2018 Arcimoto FUV vehicles have front turn signal lights that are not positioned at or near the front of the vehicle, as federal lighting standard FMVSS 108 requires. Because the signals are placed incorrectly, they can be less visible to other road users, which increases the risk of a crash.

Arcimoto is notifying affected owners and will add identical turn signal lights to a location in front of the existing ones, at no cost to you. The vehicles are within the manufacturer's control, so you do not need to obtain parts yourself.

If you own an affected vehicle, contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293 and reference recall number 7F7-P5R6U-12. You can also check your VIN for any open recalls on NHTSA's website.
