Arcimoto FUV Recall 18V936: Missing certification label may hide safety recalls

NHTSA campaign 18V936, reported December 28, 2018, 23 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2017 and 2018 Arcimoto FUV vehicles were built without the required certification label. The label shows whether the vehicle meets federal safety standards, and without it, an owner may not be able to tell whether their vehicle is covered by a safety recall. Missing recall information can increase the risk of injury or a crash.

If you own an affected vehicle, contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293 and reference recall number 7F7-X7F9K-12. Arcimoto has notified affected owners, and the vehicles are within the manufacturer's control. Arcimoto will replace your vehicle with a fully compliant one at no cost.

Regardless of whether your vehicle is in this recall, check your VIN for open recalls on the NHTSA website or through your dealer.
