What this recall means for you
Certain 2019 Forest River Salem and Wildwood recreational trailers have clearance lights that were incorrectly wired, so the lights may not work. The trailers therefore do not meet federal lighting requirements for visibility.
With inoperative clearance lights, other drivers may have a harder time seeing your trailer, especially at night or in poor visibility, which increases the risk of a crash.
Forest River will notify owners, and authorized dealers will correct the clearance light wiring at no cost to you. You can contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-534-6127 and reference recall number 63-0921. You should also check your trailer's VIN for any open recalls.
