Cruiser RV MPG Recall 18V820: Trailer Wheel Hubs May Overheat and Fail, Risking Crash

NHTSA campaign 18V820, reported November 20, 2018, 25 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2019 Cruiser RV trailers, built on D28H, D35, D40, or D44 axles, may have inner hub bearings that were not greased enough. Without proper lubrication, the bearings can overheat and fail.

If a bearing overheats, the hub can fail. That can affect how the trailer handles and raises the risk of a crash. Owners should treat this as a safety issue and act promptly.

Cruiser RV will notify affected owners. Authorized dealers will inspect and repair or replace the hubs and bearings as needed, at no cost to you. To check whether your trailer is included, contact Cruiser RV customer service at 1-574-206-7920 and check your VIN for open recalls.
