Ducati Supersport Recall 18V793: Vibrating Mirrors Can Blur Rear View, Raising Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 18V793, reported November 9, 2018, 1,676 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2017-2019 Ducati Supersport motorcycles may have mirrors that vibrate, which can distort the images the rider sees. This reduces rearward visibility.

Reduced rear visibility can increase the risk of a crash, since a rider may not see traffic approaching from behind or beside them in time to react.

Ducati will notify owners, and authorized dealers will replace the mirrors with new ones free of charge. You can contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446, and you should check your motorcycle's VIN for open recalls.
