NHTSA campaign 18V694, reported October 4, 2018, 6,928 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

During installation, the fuel pump O-ring may have been twisted, which reduces its sealing performance and can allow fuel to leak from the fuel system.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. If you own an affected motorcycle, do not ignore fuel odors or visible leaks, and have the bike inspected promptly.

The remedy is free: an authorized Suzuki dealer will replace the fuel pump O-ring and the fuel tank inner vessel at no cost. Owners can also contact Suzuki customer service at 1-800-934-0934. Check your VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your motorcycle is affected.
