NHTSA campaign 18V561, reported August 23, 2018, 33 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2017-2019 Thomas Built Buses Saf-T-Liner C2 school buses have seats where the seat's foot may pull through the bolted joint at the bus floor during a crash. This means the seats do not fully meet federal seat belt anchorage requirements (FMVSS 210).

If a seat detaches from the floor in a crash, the risk of injury to passengers increases. Owners should check whether their bus is covered by this recall using their vehicle identification number (VIN) and contact Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) customer service at 1-800-547-0712, referencing recall number FL787.

DTNA will notify owners, and authorized dealers will install a washer between the rear mounting foot and the bus floor to keep the seat secured. The repair is free of charge.
