What this recall means for you
Some panoramic sunroofs may have been installed with a bonding primer that was incorrectly made during manufacturing. Over time, this can weaken how well the front cover and/or rear fixed glass stay attached to the vehicle.
If the glass is not properly adhered, it may detach while you are driving. A loose or detached panel creates a road hazard for other drivers and increases the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect the panoramic sunroof and replace it if necessary, at no cost to you. Owners will also be notified by Mercedes-Benz USA. You can contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372, referencing recall number 2018080006, or check your VIN for open recalls.
