- Problem
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Forest River Wildwood, and 2016-2019 Forest River Salem recreational trailers. The outside auxiliary shower faucet cover may cover the water heater exhaust panel when opened.
- Risk
- The covered water heater exhaust panel could increase the risk of injury.
- Remedy
- Forest River has notified owners, and dealers will install a replacement outside shower, free of charge. The recall began on July 24, 2018. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-534-3167. Forest River's number for this recall is 44-0762.

What this recall means for you
The outside auxiliary shower faucet cover on certain Forest River Salem and Wildwood recreational trailers may cover the water heater exhaust panel when it is opened. Because the exhaust panel can be blocked, the water heater's exhaust may not vent properly, which could increase the risk of injury.
If you own an affected trailer, Forest River will have a dealer install a replacement outside shower at no cost to you. You can also contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-534-3167 and refer to recall number 44-0762.
