Ducati Supersport Recall 18V371: Fuel Hoses May Melt Near Exhaust, Risking Fuel Leak and Fire

NHTSA campaign 18V371, reported June 5, 2018, 1,462 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some fuel tank overfill hoses and airbox blow-by hoses may be routed too close to the exhaust manifold. Over time, the heat from the exhaust can cause these hoses to melt.

If a hose melts, it can cause a fuel leak, which increases the risk of a fire. Owners should take this recall seriously and avoid riding until the hose routing has been checked.

Ducati will notify owners, and an authorized dealer will inspect the hose routing and correct it if needed, at no cost to you. The recall began on July 6, 2018. You can also contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446 and check your VIN for open recalls.
