Kzrv Connect Recall 18V241: Wrong Circuit Breaker Can Raise Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 18V241, reported April 17, 2018, 17 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2019 recreational trailers were built with a 15/20 amp circuit breaker where a 15/15 amp breaker should have been installed. An oversized breaker may fail to cut power during an overcurrent condition, which can increase the risk of a fire.

The remedy is free. Authorized dealers will replace the 15/20 amp breaker with a correct 15/15 amp breaker at no cost to the owner. Owners can contact KZRV customer service at 1-800-768-4016, extension 154 or 153, and reference recall KZ-2018-03.

Owners should also check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls, as other safety campaigns may apply to the same trailer.
