NHTSA campaign 18V217, reported April 5, 2018, 876 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The brake wire on certain 2018 recreational trailers may have been improperly attached to the axle spring assembly. Over time, the wire can be damaged and short circuit, which can cause a loss of trailer braking and a longer stopping distance, raising the risk of a crash. An electrical short in the brake wire can also increase the risk of a fire.

Owners should contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369 and have an authorized dealer relocate the brake wiring as needed. The repair is free of charge.
