Look Cargo Trailer Recall 18V201: Rear axle spindle weld can fail, risking loss of control

NHTSA campaign 18V201, reported March 28, 2018, 132 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2018 cargo trailers have a rear non-powered axle assembly where the spindle weld may fail, causing the spindle and pipe to separate.

If the weld fails, the wheel can detach from the trailer's control. This can lead to loss of vehicle control and an increased risk of a crash.

LGS Industries will notify owners, and authorized dealers will replace the axle assemblies free of charge. Owners can contact LGS customer service at 1-877-475-5665, and should check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
