What this recall means for you
The wheelchair lift on certain Minotour transit buses can be operated while the vehicle is in Neutral or Drive, rather than only when it is in Park. This can happen because of a problem with the lift's electrical connections.
If the lift can be operated while the bus is not in Park, the lift user faces an increased risk of injury. Owners should not allow the lift to be used while the vehicle is not in Park until the problem is corrected.
The repair is free. Dealers will inspect the wheelchair lift and correct the electrical connections as needed. Owners can contact Daimler Trucks North America customer service at 1-800-547-0712, referencing recall FL-761. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your bus is affected.
