What this recall means for you
Certain Thomas Built Minotour school buses built on GM chassis and equipped with wheelchair lifts may allow the lift to operate while the vehicle is in Neutral or Drive, rather than only when it is in Park.
If the wheelchair lift can be operated when the vehicle is not in Park, the lift user faces an increased risk of injury. Owners should check whether their bus is covered and contact the manufacturer, Daimler Trucks North America, at 1-800-547-0712 (recall number FL-761) for details.
The remedy is free: an authorized dealer will inspect the wheelchair lift and correct the electrical connections as needed at no cost to the owner. Owners can also check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
