Nissan Juke Recall 18V156: Fuel Pressure Sensor May Loosen and Leak Fuel, Creating Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 18V156, reported March 7, 2018, 49,385 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2011-2012 Nissan Juke vehicles that were previously repaired under an earlier recall, the fuel pressure sensor may not have been tightened to the correct torque during that repair. Over time, the sensor can loosen and allow fuel to leak.

A fuel leak near an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. Owners should take this recall seriously and have their vehicle checked promptly.

Nissan will notify affected owners, and an authorized Nissan dealer will tighten the fuel pressure sensor to the proper torque at no cost to you. You can also contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
