Land Rover Range Rover Velar Recall 18V139: Windshield May Fog Up, Reducing Driver Visibility

NHTSA campaign 18V139, reported March 1, 2018, 7,090 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain vehicles, the air inlet door linkages for the ventilation system may detach. When this happens, the system may not be able to clear fog or condensation from the windshield and windows.

If condensation or fog cannot be cleared, the driver's view may be reduced, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should be alert to fogged or clouded glass and have the vehicle checked promptly.

The remedy is free. Dealers will update the vehicle software to control the length of movement of the ventilation actuator arm. Owners can check whether their VIN has open recalls and contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837.
