ACG Moke Recall 18V135: Windshield May Shatter in a Crash, Raising Injury Risk

NHTSA campaign 18V135, reported February 27, 2018, 72 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2016-2017 ACG Moke vehicles may have been built with windshields that are not laminated glass, so they do not meet the federal glazing standard (FMVSS 205) and the low speed vehicle standard (FMVSS 500). In a crash, a non-laminated windshield can shatter, which increases the risk of injury.

American Custom Golf Cars (ACG) will notify affected owners. Dealers will inspect the windshield and replace any that are not properly labeled as AS-1 windshields, at no cost to you. The recall is expected to begin in March 2018. You can contact ACG customer service at 1-909-597-2885 and reference recall number ACG-RC2018-01. You can also check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
