What this recall means for you
The tire placard on certain vehicles may state an incorrect total number of occupants allowed. This means the vehicle does not fully meet the federal tire selection and rims standard, FMVSS 110.
If the placard shows a seating capacity that is higher than the vehicle can safely carry, an operator may load it beyond its limit. Overloading can cause tire failure, which increases the risk of a crash.
Chrysler will notify owners, and authorized dealers will install a corrected tire placard free of charge. You can contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall number U17) with questions. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
