Jayco Travel Trailer Eagle Recall 18V075: Stove flame can go out while gas keeps flowing

NHTSA campaign 18V075, reported January 29, 2018, 26 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2018 Jayco Eagle travel trailers, the flame on the stove cooktop can become inverted or go out when the furnace is running, but liquid propane gas keeps flowing to the burners.

Gas flowing to an unlit burner can lead to an explosion, which raises the risk of injury. Owners should take this seriously and avoid using the stove's burners while the furnace is on until the repair is completed.

The remedy is free: an authorized Jayco dealer will install two wood panels to keep air from the furnace from affecting the stove burners. Owners can contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 (recall number 9901366), and should check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
