What this recall means for you
Some 2016-2017 GLC300, GLC300 4MATIC and GLC43 4MATIC vehicles may have headlights that are misadjusted. When this happens, the low beam headlights may not adequately illuminate the roadway, and the vehicle may fail to meet federal lighting safety standard FMVSS 108.
Insufficient road illumination at night can make it harder to see hazards, pedestrians and road conditions ahead, which may increase the risk of a crash.
Mercedes-Benz USA will notify owners. Authorized dealers will inspect the headlamp adjustment and correct it as necessary, free of charge. Owners can contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-877-496-3691, and you can check your VIN for open recalls on NHTSA's website.
