What this recall means for you
The federal tire pressure placard on certain 2018 Forest River Sandpiper and Sierra recreational trailers may list the recommended tire pressure as 110 psi. The correct pressure is 95 psi. Because the label is incorrect, these trailers do not meet federal tire selection and labeling requirements.
If the tires are inflated to 110 psi, they can wear out prematurely, which could lead to a loss of control and an increased risk of a crash.
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a corrected federal placard at no cost. Owners can contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-534-4574 and reference recall number 03-0599. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
