Zero DSR Recall 17V762: Motorcycle emissions label may show wrong model year

NHTSA campaign 17V762, reported November 28, 2017, 36 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2018 Zero motorcycles have a Vehicle Emission Control Information label that may list the wrong model year. The vehicles therefore do not meet federal certification requirements under 49 CFR Part 567. The main concern is that if one of these motorcycles is ever subject to a future recall, the owner might not realize it applies to their bike because the model year on the label is incorrect.

The remedy is free. Dealers will replace the incorrect label with a corrected one. Zero plans to notify owners, and the recall is expected to begin in December 2017. If you own an affected 2018 model, you can contact Zero customer service at 1-888-841-8085 and reference recall number SV-ZMC-017-380. You can also check your VIN for any open recalls.
